Okay, I couldn't wait to start smashing pumpkins and I figure Friday the 13th is Halloween-ish, so here's a sample. This is Gromit, of Wallace and Gromit fame. Carved by my skilled wife, Gromit withstood an initial attack by my father-in-law, who had some trouble with a swinging post-driving maul (20lb, I think) suspended from a boom arm. As the video shows, my brother-in-law (this is him) saved the day. This is the first of 15 or so pumpkins to be mashed and, I think, the least spectacular method, but it should give you an idea of what's to come.
